Galaxy S24Hi everyone,
I’m running into a frustrating issue with the writing assistant that’s built into the Samsung keyboard. Lately, almost everything I write is being flagged as “inappropriate”—even when the content is respectful, thoughtful, and personal.
For example, I’ve had posts flagged when writing about mental health and neurodiversity (like ADHD and autism), and even more often when I touch on anything political. These aren’t aggressive or offensive posts—they’re reflective and carefully worded. In one case, I encouraged someone to avoid creating an “us vs. them” mindset when talking about neurotypical vs. neurodivergent people, and that got flagged. In another, I tried to talk about current policy issues in a factual way and was blocked again.
I’m concerned that the assistant might be overcorrecting in a way that discourages important, respectful conversations—especially around mental health, identity, or civic engagement.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know how to adjust the settings or give direct feedback to Samsung about the filters being used?
Thanks for any insight or advice. I’d love to find a way to keep using the writing tools without being censored for writing responsibly about real issues.
